What can break or heal your heart? BOOKS!

Life update first: No fainting in the tram this week, guys, and no flu, so good times 🙂 I went to the dentist yesterday, though. Him: “If your tooth hurts longer than two weeks, call. Don’t wait a month.” OR he might’ve said: “Little Sonya has a high pain threshold, but don’t be a hero.”

And after 20 years, happy was the dentist who finally got to do something other than poke at my teeth and declare them fine. He got to change a filling! Shout out to the dentist in Houston who did his job right 40 years ago.

OK, so why am I posting? BOOKS! Books! There are 280 fantasy and paranormal romance books for $0.99 ONLY today! And because there are so many, here are a few that I’ve already actually read and my thoughts:

Blood Mercy by Vela Roth – this has the SWEETEST hero, a veeeeeeery slowburn romance, and I wrote a blog post about it (excerpt from the post: “Rather than bombarding the reader with Drama! (TM), Vela Roth lets the reader soak unabashedly in Lio and Cassia’s relationship for the majority of the book, so you can sink yourself into it without guilt or fear. It’s like a slow-moving, misty dream world, carrying you along on the calm current of Lio’s even-keel personality that keeps the boat from rocking…”)

Fractured by Jove Chambers – a romance take on what would happen if a woman with secrets fell for Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde – here’s an excerpt from my review (the review was written as a play on the original book description, but the author has since changed it): “The fact that I like this book and have found nothing to dislike about it, it should be a sign to you that there is something wrong with me. I couldn’t say what it is exactly. My mind tells me the story itself doesn’t outwardly present as dangerous, but its edges squirm and expand between the pages, like the love interest twines around the heroine. The plot uncoils along with his barbs and shadows and teeth and pins you to the… page. Its appeal is monstrous…”

Court of Blood and Bindings by Lisette Marshall – Young woman gets whisked away from danger by a winged dude, y’all!

One of my books is in the book blast, too, but I’m not saying which MWAHAHAHAHAHA! You can look up Sonya Lano if you REALLY want to.

And because I’m CRAZY busy today and I’m sure no one wants to hear about me kicking my cantakerous desk drawer, here is the link again and you all be kind to one another this week! No hair-pulling or cutting in line, got it? Good.

Thrice the Shadow. [nope, I still do not know what that means]

Aaaaand here are two redone book trailer vids (both under 1 minute long) WITHOUT AI images:

Also, if you want to support me, read my books and recommend them to those you think will like them! Or if you want to throw money at me, you can ‘buy me a coffee’ via buy me a coffee or support me regularly via the patreon (though I never post anything there cuz I suck).
