Dance of the Tavyn – random excerpt 1

“Jump!” Kirian railed at the Ulinian, still running toward him and the cliff. Roald nodded jerkily, then turned and leapt off.

Kirian stopped abruptly at the edge, dragging me back at the last instant, and watched his last man disappear into the river below.

“Can they swim?” I asked, horrified.

“Of course they can,” Kirian answered in a strange voice and I looked at him. He drew his sword, and the expression in his eyes terrified me as he pointed to the rock face. “Kneel.”

This excerpt really does leave me wanting to know more… eventually I’ll probably feel ready to read this story, but for now I’ll concentrate on About That Happy Ending and Charmed, Chained and Chased! 🙂 Oh, and obviously Dragonrider…
