Well, I haven’t posted in a long time! Been busy with writing stuff… Yeah, writing stuff. Got a problem with that?
Okay, so fine, I’ve been busy with family and friends, too. And with a toxic fondue dish from my ex-husband that has been wafting less-than-aromatic fumes about the flat for the past several days.
A toxic fondue dish with such trivial things as noxious, living cultures growing it. As I write, there are probably still spores from those underdeveloped new micro-organisms floating around the flat. The cats might start sprouting odd appendages soon. I promise to take pictures if they do.
And as for anyone believing the toxic fondue has anything to do with my bad housekeeping, I must disappoint you and relinquish all claim to the formation of this particular virulence. The fondue remains here courtesy of my ex-hubby who is still moving his things out of the flat and left the fondue behind due to the several-years-old oil congealed in it that aroused his scorn and disdain. My attempt to clean it (the fondue dish, not the ex-hubby’s scorn and disdain) resulted in an unnatural goo that clings to surfaces with the tenacious adhesiveness of alien matter.
It has been successfully combatted with vinegar.
And now that the fondue threat has been neutralized and given me a new lease on life, it is on to newer and better things for me! That new thing being: I am resolved to be resolved.
As in I will actually DO the things I say I will WHEN I say I will.
As in right now I will get off the comp and feed myself much-needed sustenance. Then I will do like a good little mortal and finally go to bed before the sun comes up for once.
Here’s my story excerpt of the day (a really short one because I’m too lazy to go searching for a long one, plus my stomach is making exceedingly disturbing sounds indicating it’s going to start doing unpleasantness such as digesting me from within if I don’t appease it soon):
His name was Pyper? Well now, that was a disappointment. Couldn’t he have been named something much more intriguing or sinister? Maybe Exciteron, or Intriguerio, or Sinisterius.
– From About That Happy Ending
And look at that. As I’ve been writing, my cat has drunk my water.
Vinegar is amazing stuff!
Remind me to stay far away from fondue!!
I love your new resolve!
Keep writing, my dear friend! 🙂
